-Brad performed 200 shows over the course of 34 weeks on tour

- Brad appeared in 87 Cities, in 32  States, and traveled 35,154 Miles

-Brad performed for more than 1,000,000 people this year alone

-ABRACADABRA has been said over 5,200 times by Brad, Mickey and the whole toon town gang.

-Brad’s volunteers for his “Wash-O-Matic” Illusion  performed 600 wand taps to repair their burnt sneaker!

-Our crew has worked with 5,370 locals (local crew members in each venue) this tour.

-Our Wardrobe Dept. has done over 300 loads of laundry and there have been 9,000 costume changes during the show.

-There has been 42,282 ft of Gaff Tape used = 8.01 miles!!!

-There has been 150lbs of confetti shot into the audience!!!!!

It’s official!!!  Tickets are NOW ON SALE for the NEW YORK CITY Limited Engagement Run of Disney LIVE presents Mickey’s Magic Show, March 17 – March 20th, 2011.

I am beyond excited about this.  What a dream come true to perform right here in New York City – a city like NO OTHER!!!  With Broadway & Off-Broadway show neighbors and the amazing energy & vibe that naturally exist in Manhattan – the city will be a bit more spectacular when we arrive this March!!!

Happy New Year everyone!!!  As we are approaching the middle of January, we’re in full swing in the 2nd half of out 2010-2011 National Tour of Disney LIVE presents Mickey’s Magic Show!

The last 4 months on the road have been an absolute blast.  Getting to visit a lot of my favorite cities like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, as well as my home state of New Jersey!!!!

It’s been so nice to catch up with so many old friends as I travel to their cities as well as getting to make so many new friends & fans along the way. Don’t forget to keep up to date with my tour schedule by visiting the tour page on this website – you can access it by CLICKING THE TOUR BUTTON ABOVE – on the menu bar.

I’m really looking forward to some special places in these next 4 months, including our 4 day run in NEW YORK CITY at the World Famous Madison Square Garden!!!!  More info on that soon about tickets, show times, etc.

That’s all for now – but stay tuned – as one of my new year’s resolutions is to post to this blog on a regular basis – dare I say, WEEKLEY?!?!?

Brad Ross Accepts 2010 Merlin Award from World President Tony Hassini

Newark, NJ– September 9, 2010 – International Star Illusionist and New Jersey native Brad Ross of Disney Live! presents Mickey’s Magic Show is the recipient of the International Magicians Society Merlin Award for Best International Family Entertainer 2010. World President of the International Magicians Society Tony Hassini presented the award at Newark’s Prudential Center at a press conference yesterday that included remarks from Mayor Cory Booker and Feld Entertainment Executive Vice President Alana Feld, producer of Disney Live!.

The Merlin Award, known as the Oscar equivalent for the magic industry, is the highest honor bestowed by the magic community and is based on talent, showmanship, originality, skills and the ability to entertain under any conditions. Previous recipients include David Copperfield; Siegfried & Roy; Criss Angel; and Kenneth Feld, producer of the Disney Live! shows and the most successful live illusion show of all time, Siegfried & Roy®.

“I am proud to honor and recognize Brad Ross for his extraordinary contributions to the magic community,” comments Hassini. “His interactive, engaging style and amazing feats of magic have won him the respect and admiration of his peers and families all over the world.”

Disney Live! producer and Feld Entertainment Executive Vice President Alana Feld states, “Brad epitomizes the essence of all Feld Entertainment productions:  quality, live family entertainment that inspires and engages the audience. This honor is a tribute to the passion and dedication he continuously exhibits, and I’m thrilled that he now joins the ranks of the world’s greatest magicians.”

At the presentation, Ross conducted an interactive magic seminar with students from Newark’s Oliver Street School, teaching them how to perform several magic tricks.  For the grand finale, Mayor Booker and surprise guest Mickey Mouse helped Ross with one final illusion, transforming an ink pen into a donation of school supplies for the students. The children also received complimentary tickets to attend Disney Live! presents Mickey’s Magic Show, a live stage production from Feld Entertainment, the producers of Disney On Ice.  Disney Live! presents Mickey’s Magic Show plays the Prudential Center for two shows on Saturday, September 11, before continuing on its 87-city U.S. tour.

“I am extremely honored to receive the prestigious Merlin Award and am grateful for all the teachers, mentors, friends and family who have encouraged me through the years and given me the tools that I needed to help live my dream,” Ross says. “When you believe in yourself and in the magic of your own dreams, anything can happen!”

Ross became interested in magic as a child and performed shows around his hometown of Scotch Plains, NJ, until landing a job headlining at the New Jersey Six Flags Great Adventure in “World of Magic.” In 2006, Ross joined Disney Live! presents Mickey’s Magic Show and achieved international acclaim while touring 25 countries throughout Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
